Creamy Roses Lamp

I'm hooking up with Junker Newbie's  "Would You Buy It? Wednesday" and White Wednesday.
Hop on over to these blogs for lists of fun links.  At Junker Newbie's see what people are buying and weigh in on whether or not you would have made the purchase.
I bought this cute lamp at a thrift store.
It's 11 inches tall and someone has put a new cord on it.
I love those creamy roses!  It's in excellent shape.
And it was only $4.50!  Right now it resides on the computer armoire in the
Goddess Room (aka - my sewing room, named so by my Hub).

The same shopping trip I also found this wise little saying.
It was only .50 and helps remind me not to stress out over, well,...nothing.
It resides in the arms of a favorite teddy bear where I see it several times a day.
What a great reminder!
Have a wonderful day and please go over to Junker Newbie's
and White Wednesday  for all the great finds this week.
Thanks for stopping by!

I Won! & Other News

Good Morning!
I just found out I won this beautiful prism
at Binky La Faye's giveaway!
Isn't it lovely?  I can't wait to receive it!
Please visit her at http://binkylafaye.blogspot.com.
Her blog is full of the most wonderful eye candy sure to spark your creativity.

I would like to add a personal note.  My blog entries have been sporadic lately.  That is not what I intended when I started my blog.  However sometimes life gets in the way of the best laid plans.
My husband, Craig, also known as the center of the universe,
was diagnosed with a recurrence of cancer that he had surgery for 6 years ago.
So since January we have been dealing with doctors, treatments and all that goes with.  He is in the last week of radiation now and doing pretty well.  Thank you God!

My intent is to get back to blogging.  I have met so many wonderful people in blog land and I thank my followers who have hung in there with me.
Coming up I have some wonderful 'needful things' finds to share, some quilts I'm working on as well as other needle work.

Thank you Binky for having the great giveaway!
God Bless!

I Smell Green!

Good Morning!
Well, we finally had a little sunshine over the Pacific Northwest last weekend.  Very exciting and uplifting!
For those of you who aren't familiar with me yet, we have a small farm.  This is the field in front of our home being planted to potatoes.
The green in front of the tractor is alfalfa as is the field in the background (that one's not ours).  Isn't it beautiful?  Everything smells so lush, fresh and well, green.
I love the smell of green!

We even got to do a little yard work over the weekend with the help of ROOFus of course.
To ROOFus Spring means freshly turned soil to lay on and he loves that!  Sadly for him it is being turned into a planter but he can have it for now.  Notice the top of the weather vane.  It is a frolicking, naked lady with a watering can...A bit of whimsey out here in farm country.
Our growing season is about 3 weeks behind due to Mother Nature.  I hope yours isn't and that you're enjoying your yards and gardens...and yes, the smell of green!
Breathe Deep and God Bless You!
